Tracking Class

[TR100] Beginning Tracking.

Instructors: Chris Irvine & Amy Lasarko.
6 Weeks.

This class emphasizes building a partnership bond with your dog while having a great time outdoors in nature doing something dogs are naturally gifted at and love to do. The class develops the foundation concepts and techniques for the AKC Tracking Dog Test including understanding scent, designing tracks, developing motivation, confidence, skills, and developing handler support skills. The class may be repeated to build capabilities for beginners. The class is held outside at Fair Hill NRMA, Elkton, MD. Classes are rescheduled for inclement weather. One dog per handler, unless special permission is granted by the instructors.

[TR200] Intermediate Tracking.

Instructors: Chris Irvine & Amy Lasarko.
6 Weeks.

This class is the natural progression from Beginning Tracking.  This class will work on fine tuning and expanding the skills and concepts learned in TR100.  These include line handling, starts, reading your dog, using the rules, and broadening your fundamental skill set.  All leading towards certification and the Tracking Dog test.  The instructors will also tailor the lessons to the exhibitor’s individual needs.  The class is held outside at Fair Hill NRMA, Elkton, MD. Classes are rescheduled for inclement weather. One dog per handler, except by special permission from the instructors.

Class dates:  March 17 & 31, April 14, May 5, 12, & 26.
