This is the next step after CGC (Canine Good Citizen). The class focuses on building a solid basis of strong fundamental skills for all performance dog sports. Students will be exposed to the core components for Beginner Novice and Novice Obedience. These include reward marker training, attention, leash handling, heeling, recalls, and impulse control. As well, it uses a motivational approach with games to present the basic elements of advanced skills.

Completion of this class is a prerequisite for joining the Novice Ring Readiness class, after which teams may participate in both classes if they wish.

Age requirement: Dogs must be 6 months or older and have skills to achieve a CGC.

This class meets on Mondays from 2:15 – 3:15 pm for session 2. Session 2 starts the week of February 27th. Registration for session 2 is closed.

This class meets on Wednesdays from 7:45 – 8:45 pm for session 3. Session 3 starts the week of April 24th for this class.
